The companion website to Teaching History Online is a place that provides resources for history instructors creating an online class and an area for teachers to contribute their own ideas on teaching online. Each chapter in the textbook has a corresponding section on the companion website that expands on the list of readings included in the book. Online learning is evolving at a rapid pace, and this website seeks to keep instructors up to date with innovations in teaching and technology. Educational theorists and practitioners are continuously providing new ways to think about teaching and new technology is constantly being developed - and that can make some of our teaching practices outmoded. Some of the Web links in the book will become outdated, and this website will be used to keep the links up to date and to add new ones that become available. I want teachers to provide me with feedback on Teaching History Online and to use this website to share their ideas with other instructors.
