CHARTS AND DIAGRAMS

Charts,
diagrams, posters are all visual ways of learning and remembering things. When
you turn facts and concepts into something visual, you are actively **doing**
something. So this is an example of learning by **doing and
seeing**. You have also used **colour** – a different one for each
concept, and you have **enhanced it visually** by enlarging the mathematical
symbols.

Here is a
colourful poster to help you remember the various mathematical terms that
either mean the same thing or are closely related.

Below is a
diagram to help you remember how to calculate the length of the circumference
of a circle using the radius of a circle.

**C is the circumference**

**r**** is the radius so 2r
is the diameter**

** (pi) is the constant**

(** **is a greek
letter – many greek letters are used in maths and science.)
