What is the impact of scale on understanding change in the human past?

Discuss the historical evidence for human migration. How has the variety of evidence changed over time?

What are some of the reasons humans have moved in the past? Discuss the relative importance between individual choice and social, economic, political, or environmental factors.

What are the consequences of human migration? How have these consequences changed over time?

Debate which were most important in world history:  the early migrations out of Africa or more recent migrations (since 1750).

What can the patterns and processes of human migrations tell us about the uniqueness of the human species on the planet?
